-
The out-of-state

certificate, not a temporary or substitute
certificate.
-
A teacher
holding a Type Q Preliminary Certificate
may be employed as a teacher in an Alaska
school district only if the teacher certificate
issued by the other state is valid at the
time the teacher commences instructional
services in Alaska.
-
A Type

After holding a Type Q, applicants are only
eligible to apply for the Type A Regular

A Regular Certificate, applicants must meet
all current requirements for certification.
It is the responsibility of the applicant
to know what all current certification requirements
are.
-
The endorsements
on the Type Q Preliminary certificate will
be the same as those on the current, valid,
out-of-state certificate submitted. If you
hold more than one out-of state certificate,
please choose ONE to submit with the application.
-
During
the life of the Preliminary Certificate
no additional endorsements may be added
or may endorsements be removed.
-
The out-of-state
certificate submitted must be the official,
